Les \u00e9l\u00e9ments sur Terre et dans l\u2019univers (hydrog\u00e8ne, h\u00e9lium, \u00e9l\u00e9ments lourds : oxyg\u00e8ne, carbone, fer, silicium&#8230;). \u00bb Constituants de l\u2019atome, structure interne d\u2019un noyau atomique (nucl\u00e9ons : protons, neutrons), \u00e9lectrons. Le tableau p\u00e9riodique est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 a\u0300 partir de la classe de 4<sup>e<\/sup> comme un outil de classement et de rep\u00e9rage des atomes constitutifs de la mati\u00e8re, sans qu\u2019il faille insister sur la notion d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ment chimique. La description de la constitution de l\u2019atome et de la structure interne du noyau peut e\u0302tre r\u00e9serv\u00e9e a\u0300 la classe de 3<sup>e<\/sup>, et permet un travail sur les puissances de dix en lien avec les math\u00e9matiques.<\/p>\r\n<h5>L\u2019\u00c9NERGIE ET SES CONVERSIONS :<\/h5>\r\n<p>Identifier les diff\u00e9rentes formes d\u2019\u00e9nergie. Cin\u00e9tique (relation Ec = 1\u20442 mv<sup>2<\/sup>), potentielle (d\u00e9pendant de la position), thermique, \u00e9lectrique, chimique, nucl\u00e9aire, lumineuse. Les supports d\u2019enseignement gagnent a\u0300 relever de syst\u00e8mes ou de situations de la vie courante. Les activit\u00e9s propos\u00e9es permettent de souligner que toutes les formes d\u2019\u00e9nergie ne sont pas \u00e9quivalentes ni e\u0301galement utilisables. Ce th\u00e8me permet d\u2019aborder un vocabulaire scientifique visant a\u0300 clarifier les termes souvent rencontr\u00e9s dans la vie courante : chaleur, production, pertes, consommation, gaspillage, \u00e9conomie d\u2019\u00e9nergie, \u00e9nergies renouvelables. L\u2019\u00e9tude du th\u00e8me de l\u2019\u00e9nergie gagne a\u0300 \u00eatre pr\u00e9sente chaque ann\u00e9e. La classe de 5<sup>e<\/sup> est l\u2019occasion de revenir sur les attendus du cycle 3 concernant les sources et les conversions de l\u2019\u00e9nergie. Progressivement, au cycle 4, les \u00e9l\u00e8ves font la diff\u00e9rence entre sources, formes, transferts et conversions et se construisent ainsi une id\u00e9e coh\u00e9rente du de\u0301licat concept d\u2019\u00e9nergie. La comparaison d\u2019ordres de grandeur d\u2019\u00e9nergies ou de puissances produites ou consomm\u00e9es par des dispositifs peut \u00eatre introduite d\u00e8s la classe de 5<sup>e<\/sup>. La pleine ma\u00eetrise de la relation entre puissance et \u00e9nergie est un objectif de fin de cycle. Elle s\u2019acquiert en s\u2019appuyant sur des exemples de complexit\u00e9 croissante.
